Biography

Having graduated in 1988 from the University of Natal in South Africa, I have worked in family medicine for the past 24 years. In addition I have successfully obtained courses, certificates and updates in family as well as emergency medicine. Throughout this period I have also worked in various hospitals on a sessional basis including the Emergency Room as well as the Department of Internal Medicine. I have been practicing medicine in British Columbia since 2007. My practice is mostly office based although I do see patients in the hospital and nursing homes. I obtained my licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) in 2009 and I am a Certificant of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). At present, I am a tutor for the PEARLS program and an examiner for the CCFP. I am a strong proponent for lifestyle change in the treatment of all medical conditions.
